MAHIKENG – North West University are the 2025/26 ABC Motsepe League champions for Ngaka Modiri Molema District after edging Mahikeng Army Rockets 1-0 on recently.
A goal from Momelezi Mngati proved enough to give NWU the win and all three points, sealing the Stream B title and the district championship.Army Rockets were contesting their second district playoff, having previously lost to Thames FC.
This time they faced NWU in what was billed as the most anticipated clash in the district, but came up short again.With the district crown secured, NWU now turn their focus to the national stage, where they will represent Ngaka Modiri Molema against other provincial champions in the SAFA National Playoffs.
