Potchefstroom
JB Marks Local Municipality would like to inform residents of a major electrical breakdown currently
affecting several areas in Potchefstroom. The outage impacts the whole of Ikageng, as well as
surrounding areas including the Bult, Baillie Park, Mooivallei Park, Tuscany Ridge, Van der Hoff Park,
and nearby suburbs.
The disruption is believed to have been caused by a fault on a 132kV power line. Technical teams are currently on-site and working to resolve the issue. Residents are urged to treat all electrical outlets and appliances as live and potentially dangerous, as electricity may be restored without prior notice. At this stage, the estimated time for restoration is unknown.
