The Department of Employment and Labour in the North West Province is set to host a Career/Jobs Fair in Potchefstroom on March 6, 2026, in partnership with Dr Kenneth Kaunda District Municipality and JB Marks local municipality. The one-day event aims to provide work-seekers with valuable insights into career opportunities, learnerships, internships, apprenticeships, and bursaries.
The Career-Jobs Fair will offer career counselling, registration, and application assistance on the Employment Services South Africa (ESSA) portal. A stakeholder engagement session will also take place, bringing together employers, trade unions, private and state-owned entities, and government departments to discuss labour laws, industry growth plans, and job creation strategies.
The event will run concurrently with a stakeholder engagement session, focusing on the District Development Model and ways to foster job creation. Work-seekers are advised to bring their Identity Document (ID) and multiple copies of their Curriculum Vitae (CV) to make the most of the event.
