Siwelele FC have made the shakeup in their technical team by appointing the former Bloemfontein Celtic and Orlando Pirates defender Willem Jackson as the new assistant coach.

Jackson comes in to fill the boots left by Andre Arendse who was axed together with the CEO Stan Matthews following a stint on bad results.

Siwelele chairman Calvin Le John has announced the news on the video clip which was posted on the club social media on Sunday. He also announced Lerato Kholoanyane as the new CEO.

He said the two men were great to work with. “We have parted ways with CEO, Stan Matthews and our assistant coach Andre Arense. They have been very great men to work with but I cannot continue to keep them on board when their lives and the family’s life are being threatened on a daily basis,” he said.

“Willem Jackson is appointed the assistant coach of the team. He has played for this team. He knows and understands the culture of this team. And he knows where we would like to take this team,” he said.

Le John has revealed that a few players will be booted out of the team to make space for new faces to beef up the team.

“We also going to terminate the contracts of various players who have not shown the heart and the willingness to fight for this team. We will be signing new players in the coming two days. Five to six players,” he said.
