North West Province is being represented at this year’s National School Athletics Championships, hosted by Gauteng Province in Pretoria.Team North West was selected during the Provincial Championships held last month in Potchefstroom, Dr Kenneth Kaunda District.
Team Breakdown: Dr Kenneth Kaunda District: 97 athletes Bojanala District: 56 athletes Ngaka Modiri Molema District: 17 athletes Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati District: 17 athletes The official opening ceremony was held at Pilditch Stadium in Pretoria.
Among the dignitaries in attendance were SASCOC President Barry Hendricks and Deputy Minister of Basic Education Dr Reginah Mhaule.The tournament runs from 30 April to 2 May 2026.
