JB Marks Local Municipality would like to inform residents of Potchefstroom that, due to current challenges with electricity supply, some areas are experiencing water shortages. As a result, the planned shutdown scheduled for Wednesday, 25 March 2026 has been postponed. The purpose of the shutdown is to allow the contractor on site to remove Old Pump No. 5 at the Ventersdorp Road Pump Station.
THE SHUTDOWN HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED AS FOLLOWS:

Time: 06:00 until late evening (anticipated completion)

Residents in the affected areas are advised to store sufficient water in advance for household use,
as the water supply will be temporarily interrupted during this period
