Siwelele Football Club has announced that it is in advanced discussions with Belgian First Division B side K. Beerschot V.A. regarding the potential transfer of young attacker Siviwe Magididigi. The club’s CEO, Lerato Kholoanyane, revealed that the Belgian side first approached Siwelele FC late last year, but their initial offer was deemed insufficient.
However, after ongoing conversations and a significant improvement in the offer, the club is now in the process of concluding negotiations. Magididigi, who has been a foundational player for Siwelele FC, is eager to test himself internationally and take on a new challenge abroad.
“We fully appreciate the fans Magididigi has earned among the Siwelele faithful, and we acknowledge the emotional connection many feel,” said CEO Lerato Kholoanyane. “Regardless of the outcome, he will forever be part of our story. He has been a foundational player in our maiden campaign and a young man who helped set our standards both on the field and in the dressing room.”
The 20-year-old Magididigi has been an integral part of Siwelele FC’s success, and the club is proud of his achievements. “We have no doubt that Belgian defenders will soon be experiencing exactly the kind of trouble he caused across the PSL,” added Kholoanyane.
While the transfer is not yet final, Siwelele FC is optimistic about the deal and wishes Magididigi all the best in his future endeavors. “If this move is concluded, he will carry Siwelele’s spirit with him, and he will always have a home in Bloemfontein.”
