Premier of the Free State province MaQueen Letsoha-Mathae has extended her well wishes to Marumo Gallants football club for their upcoming Carling knockout Cup clash against Orlando Pirates.
Siwelele sa Marumo, as Gallants are affectionally known, will lock horns with Orlando Pirates at the New Peter Mokaba stadium in Polokwane, Limpopo province today, 06 December 2025.
Premier Letsoha-Mathae has assured Marumo Gallants of the support of the people of the province and added that she has confidence that they will bring the trophy back to the province.
Marumo Gallants relocated to the Free State province last year from Limpopo and immediately endeared themselves to the football loving Free State province community. They will be looking to lift the coveted trophy for their loyal supporters.
“The people of our province have supported Marumo Gallants football club from the moment they relocated to the Free State province. By relocating to our province, Marumo Gallants have contributed to the growth of our economy as small scale businesses began to flourish.
“We wish them well for what is going to be a tough match against an equally strong opponent, but we have no doubt that they will bring the trophy home. Re tsamaya le lona Siwelele sa Marumo!,” said Premier Letsoha-Mathae.
